The Red Dot System was created to help reduce paper and toner usage by eliminating duplicate mailings within families.
Also, whenever possible, please make double-sided copies to help reduce paper waste.
How It Works:
- Whenever there is a school-wide mailing that needs to be sent home, please put a red dot (stickers will be in the copy room) on the top copy for each class so that each teacher will know to use the Red Dot System. Teachers can remove the dot before sending the mailing home.
- The OLDEST child in the family will get the mail to take home.
- The younger children in each family will have a red dot (sticker) next to their name on their classroom mailbox. A red dot means NO mail to be sent home. (In the case of twins, one will be assigned a red dot, the other will take the mailing home.)
- The number of copies each teacher needs under the Red Dot System will be posted in the copy room, along with grade level and whole school totals. Teachers, please update your classroom list as students are added or removed from your class.
